| App structure The application is divided into 4 main sections:
|
| Albums The Albums section automatically organizes and filters photos based on various criteria, making it easier for users to find and manage their content. This section includes pre-defined albums such as favorites, videos, screenshots, faces, objects, landmarks, and places. As the app continues to evolve, the Albums section will expand to include new automatically generated albums, along with the option for users to create and manage their own custom albums manually. This feature provides a seamless and organized way to store, view, and navigate all of the user's media. |
| Smart search & Organization The Albums section is designed to enhance search functionality, allowing users to quickly find photos based on specific properties. With advanced search capabilities, users can easily query their content, such as:
|
| Documents The Documents feature automatically recognizes and categorizes photos of important documents, creating a dedicated "Documents" album. Once recognized, photos are sorted into specific folders like "Passport", "Driver's License", or "Other" if the document type can't be identified. Users can also search for documents by these categories, making it easy to find them when needed. This functionality ensures that important documents are always accessible in the Cloud, providing quick access whenever they are required. |
| Time Rewind The "Time Rewind" feature lets users rediscover past events and memories. Cloud sends a notification, "Rediscover photos taken on this day," and creates an album with all photos and videos from that day across the years. This allows users to relive special moments like children’s birthdays or see how their pets have grown over time. Many users have shared positive feedback, expressing appreciation for this nostalgic feature. Along with Time Rewind, we introduced a collage creation service:
|
| Social Sync The Social Sync feature allows Cloud to automatically recognize and identify individuals in your photos, linking them to your social media profiles. This means the app can not only find your friends on social networks but also automatically tag them in the application, saving you the effort of manual data entry. It’s always a pleasant surprise when this happens seamlessly, making the experience feel effortless and intuitive. |
| Clearing up space As the core function of the Cloud application is file storage, a key feature is the ability to free up device memory. Through user feedback, we identified that this was a primary concern. Since all your photos are safely stored in the Cloud, users can confidently remove them from their device’s memory and continue capturing new ones. To address this, we introduced a flexible feature that allows users to clear up space according to their needs. The slider feature lets users choose exactly how much space they want to free up, ensuring they don’t lose their favorite photos while optimizing their device’s storage. |
| Privacy and Security We prioritize the protection and security of user accounts, continuously working to enhance data security based on user feedback. One of the latest features added to protect data is "Photo of the Attacker". If users set a PIN-lock for accessing the app, they can optionally enable this feature. Each time an incorrect PIN is entered, the front camera captures a photo of the person attempting to access the account. This photo is saved immediately in the "Privacy Access" album in the Cloud, along with the date and geolocation where the photo was taken. Users can view this information from any device by logging into the Cloud. Additionally, we introduced a screen lock feature for further protection. When the device is turned face down, or when it locks and is reopened, a PIN code is required to access the app again, ensuring that the user’s data is always secure. |
| Subscriptions To enhance the user experience, we continuously tested and refined the subscription purchase screen. Initially, we displayed a single subscription with a large image, description, and buttons. Usability testing in our UX-lab, including eye-tracking sessions, revealed that users often overlooked the image and found the text too complicated. We simplified the text, added a clear headline, and relaunched the screen. Through ongoing A/B testing, we experimented with labels for popular tariffs, combined purchase buttons with discounts, and more. After testing four layouts, we switched to a single-screen display for all subscriptions, resulting in a significant increase in purchases. |
